Holidays are a time to eat, drink and get married!Or at least that is what my best friend, Nick, and I joked about but neither one of us thought would happen! It all started with a marriage pact—if neither of us were married by the time we were thirty, we would meet in Mapleton on Christmas and get hitched. We even booked the honeymoon suite to seal the pact! Then we went on with our separate lives, sure we would never need a backup mate.Then it happened. The holiday turned into a Holidaze. I woke up in a honeymoon suite with a wedding gown on and rice in my hair. Clearly, it was a misunderstanding—we didn’t actually get married.
